๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸซRole System

eckoDAO comprises three main roles:

While roles provide structure and responsibilities within the DAO, it's important to note that users do not require a role to vote for DAO proposals or to contribute to DAO grant programs and bounties.

Any user who has Voting Power can be an eckoMEMBER, and individuals who wish to take on more senior roles, such as eckoLEAD or eckoCORE, can apply for these positions through eckoGOV. Applications for admission are continuously open, encouraging community growth and fresh perspectives.

๐Ÿ†™ Role Update

The role update process in eckoGOV focuses on updating roles within specific spaces rather than considering all members who can vote. It plays a vital role in maintaining fairness and dynamism within the eckoGOV's spaces. Here's an overview of how the role update process works:

  1. Voting Power Snapshot: On the 24th of each month, a snapshot is taken to capture the current voting power of members within the relevant spaces. This snapshot considers the voting power of space members who are eligible to participate in decision-making processes specific to those spaces.

  2. Role Changes within Spaces: On the 21st - 26th of the month, role changes are made based on the voting power snapshot within each space. The purpose is to adjust and align roles within each space according to the distribution of voting power among space members. These role changes can involve modifications to existing roles, additions of new roles, or removal of outdated roles.

The role update process ensures that the roles within each space reflect the current voting power and influence of its members. By regularly evaluating and updating roles, eckoDAO promotes inclusivity and fairness in decision-making within each specific space.
